My notebooks, (all of them being of the marble-covered variety), are much more than that, to me! They’re my brain’s treasured thumb drives. I have as many notebooks as letters in the alphabet, which is also how I catalogue them. I thought one day, in a special lecture, I’d share some of my favorite, most “marbleous” ideas. And now the time has come. Call them tidbits or factoids, they’re some of what grabbed me in my reading over the years. Join me, as I bring to light for discussion the invention of St. Anne, medieval sex (shocking, but not erotic), what Italians don’t know, popes who built, judging a painting, (it’s not in the eye of the beholder, after all).
