20th CENTURY MUSIC
The 20th century was an amazing time for music, full of innovation in every genre. Syncopated beats turned into ragtime, and ragtime became jazz. The blues birthed rock “n“ roll. The challenge here is to identify some of the “oddest” historical events in different centuries of Western Civilization, beginning with the Classical Greeks. Webster’s defines oddity as “person or thing having the quality of being strange or peculiar”. The choice made will be one man’s opinion and will in no way be scientific, nor will they reflect exhaustive scholarship. Just fun. The centuries chosen will be random and will not be presented in chronological order.
